It started with a 10-hour workday and a 2-hour resume grind.
Like most working professionals, I was caught in a familiar trap. I had a demanding day job that kept me occupied from morning until evening, and I was ready for my next big career leap.
night after night, I would close my work laptop only to open a dozen job tabs. And that’s when the real exhaustion set in.
We all know the unspoken rule of modern hiring: one generic CV will never work for 20 different jobs. If your resume doesn’t mirror the exact language, keywords, and priorities of a specific Job Description (JD), the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) filters you out before a human ever sees your name.
So, applying for a job became a full-time job of its own.

Honestly, there were nights I would look at a great job opening and just close the tab—not because I lacked ambition, but because I was too drained to spend another two hours rebuilding my CV from scratch.
I realized I didn’t have a qualification problem. I had a workflow problem.
Out of sheer necessity, I built the first version of JiffyCV for myself.
